Hey all, just wanted to say sorry for the site being so lame lately. I haven't been very attentive at all towards the site, luckily there are other sites like gaelfan.net that can still keep you in with your daily Gael needs.

I'm not sure if I'll be continuing on with Gael Online much longer, I love the site to death, but no longer feel obligated towards it and think it would be wrong to keep it up without even being well kept.
If you know anyone or yourself would like to continue on with the website, please contact me, gaelonline@gmail.com.

Until then, I've added Variety as the main source for "daily press" as Topix seemed to have gone under with their RSS feeds.

I'd love it if our members would still remain active at the forum, as I do, as others do as well, check it at least once a week.

Thanks,
Rose

Resist
What is Resist?
http://www.resistnetwork.com/assets/shared/images/journal/ggb_jbweb.gif

Economic Apartheid is the dominant system. The Green Zone is fast becoming a global state of mind. Instability is the new norm. Walls are built from suburbia to borders, to protect those in power from the chaos they themselves have caused, to keep the displaced and the poor away.

This film begins where others have given up.

Gael Garcia Bernal scales the walls to learn from those who refuse to accept the way the world is, who are fighting for a very different vision of the future and whose very existence relies on resistance. These are the people whose actions are redefining the social issues of our time.

What happens to the man who embarks on a journey to redefine the meaning of existence for himself?

Check out the official website to learn more about Resist and how you can help.

Happy New Year!
Okay, so I'm about a week or so late, but I thought I'd start the new year off with a new look. Still tweaking some things and if you see something wrong just email me gaelonline@gmail.com.

I've added new polls, fanart/graphics, icons and have also revamped the filmography page.

And I'll definitely try to keep news active. I'm trying to add an RSS feed so you guys will always have up to date news on Gael when I'm not adding articles, so be aware that should be coming soon! (And if I become un-lazy maybe I'll actually add more to the gallery *shudders* So.. many.. pictures.. )

I've also disabled comments until I can tweak some code to make everything hunky dorey. In the mean time, if you havesomething on your mind, sign up at our forums and discuss it there!

Saint Death (La Santa Muerte)
Saint Death (La Santa Muerte)
Directed by Eva Aridjis
En Español

Narrated by Gael García Bernal (Y tu mamá también), this fascinating documentary follows the rapidly growing cult of Saint Death—a female Grim Reaper who is tenderly worshipped by those from rough neighborhoods and rejected as satanic by the Catholic Church. Director Eva Aridjis introduces us to her amazingly colorful followers, from drug addicts to prisoners to transvestites, who reverently follow the skeletal figure. 2007, video, in Spanish with English subtitles, 84 minutes.

Magazine scans, and stuff.
Hey everyone - I'm always trying to make sure you guys are checking the gallery and the press section. I try to add a bunch of new stuff each week to both sections so please feel free to comment on topics, rate images, etc.
Added some pictures to the Appearances section and also have some new magazine's I've scanned!

Also, the articles to Proceso and OceanDrive are completely in SPanish, if anyone has some spare time I'd love to send the articles files for you for translation.

I also wanted to mention that GaelOnline is now (sort of) sponsored by Google, using the new search bar and clicking links would mean alot to the site and help us out!

I didn't know it but the videos weren't uploaded, at all, *laughs*. So thankully someone emailed me about that - so if there were videos you wern't able to download before, they're all back up and ready.
